By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are entitled to work in Canada or hold valid authorization to do so.
4. Our Services
Northern Staffing operates as a recruitment and staffing agency headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario. We introduce qualified candidates to employers and assist employers in filling open positions across sectors including logistics and services, hospitality, manufacturing, and education and government. Northern Staffing acts as an intermediary. Unless we expressly place you as a temporary worker on our own payroll under a separate written agreement, Northern Staffing is not your employer, and we do not control the terms, conditions, wages, hours, or workplace practices of any third-party employer.
5. No Fees Charged to Job Seekers
Northern Staffing does not charge candidates any fee for finding or attempting to find employment. Our services to job seekers are free of charge at every stage — application, screening, interview coordination, and placement.
If anyone claiming to represent Northern Staffing requests payment from you in exchange for a job, an interview, or placement assistance, do not pay. Please report it immediately to hr@northernstaffing.ca.
6. Candidate Responsibilities
a. All information you provide is true, accurate, current, and complete, including your work history, education, credentials, certifications, and your right to work in Canada.
b. You will promptly notify us of any material change to your information or availability.
c. You will not submit information belonging to another person or misrepresent your identity.
d. You authorize Northern Staffing to share your résumé and application details with prospective employers for the purpose of considering you for employment opportunities.
e. Where required for a specific role, you consent to reasonable pre-employment screening — which may include reference checks, credential verification, background checks, or skills testing — subject to your separate express consent.
Submitting false or misleading information may result in withdrawal of your application, removal from our database, and termination of any placement.
7. No Guarantee of Employment or Placement
Northern Staffing makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that:
-
any application will result in an interview, offer, or placement;
-
any position advertised on the Site remains available at the time of your application;
-
any candidate referred to a Client will accept an offer, commence work, or remain in a role for any period of time.
Hiring decisions rest solely with the applicable employer. Job postings on the Site are provided for informational purposes and may be modified, filled, or withdrawn at any time without notice.
8. Employer and Client Terms
b. They will meet all of their obligations to workers placed by Northern Staffing, including fair treatment, safe working conditions, accurate and timely payment, and freedom from discrimination or harassment.
c. They will not circumvent Northern Staffing by directly or indirectly engaging a candidate introduced by us in order to avoid placement or conversion fees. Such engagement within the period set out in the applicable service agreement will trigger the agreed fee.
d. They will not use candidate information provided by Northern Staffing for any purpose other than evaluating that candidate for the role for which they were introduced.
e. Invoices are payable in accordance with the terms stated on the invoice. Overdue amounts may accrue interest at the rate specified in the applicable service agreement.
9. Accounts and Registration
If the Site offers account registration, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity occurring under your account. Notify us immediately at hr@northernstaffing.ca if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate any account at our discretion.
10. User Submissions
You retain ownership of any résumé, cover letter, portfolio, or other material you submit (“Submissions”). By submitting, you grant Northern Staffing a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, and disclose your Submissions to prospective employers and to use them internally for the purpose of providing the Services.
You are responsible for ensuring your Submissions do not infringe the rights of any third party or contain confidential information belonging to a current or former employer.
We may retain Submissions in our candidate database for future opportunities unless you request removal in writing.

20. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep confidential any non-public business, commercial, candidate, or client information disclosed by the other in connection with the Services, and to use it only for the purposes contemplated by these Terms or an applicable service agreement. This obligation continues after these Terms end.
